Good Saturday, everyone. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms are targeting the region for the next several days. This will bring the potential for strong storms and heavy rainfall to the state. It’s a setup that likely lasts into the first few days of July.<\/p>\n

Temps today are back into the very muggy 80s. A mix of sun and clouds will be noted as a few showers and storms develop on the southwest flow. As a front approaches from the northwest, the threat for a few strong storms will increase from the northwest.<\/p>\n

The Storm Prediction Center has part of the state in the low-end risk for a few severe storms…<\/p>\n

As the front sags farther south into Sunday, so does the low end severe threat…<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

With our front becoming stationary across the state from northwest to southeast, we will be watching for clusters of thunderstorms to work across the region. That’s the setup for very heavy rainfall into parts of the region. We may actually keep that going into the first few days of July.<\/p>\n
