Good Monday, everyone. Rounds of thunderstorms are rumbling across the area today, bringing some big time rains. This is part of the stormy setup we’ve been getting you ready for since early last week and it’s one likely to be with us through the upcoming weekend.<\/p>\n

We will spend the day watching the northwest skies for clusters of storms diving into the bluegrass state. A few of these storms may be on the strong side and the SPC even has a low-end severe risk for parts of the area…<\/p>\n

Any storm that’s out there can put down a lot of rain and that’s the primary issue to watch for through tonight. Local high water issues are a possibility.<\/p>\n

Additional rounds of storms will be with us through the rest of the week, but it’s not raining all the dang time, folks! \ud83d\ude42 When it does, it can put it down in a hurry. Here’s the GFS through the rest of the week into the weekend…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The model is now in line with the GFS Ensembles in keeping the action going into next week…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This also comes with additional troughs trying to dig into the eastern part of the country. The European Model has been showing this for a while and the EURO Ensembles are all over it…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>You can see how the ridge goes west as the trough digs into the east. Can we go ahead and lock that look in for the winter months? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
