We have a cold front rolling across the state today and it&#8217;s bringing a broken line of showers with it. The moisture ahead of this is wimpy, but the cold air behind this is going to flex a bit of muscle over the next few mornings. This doesn&#8217;t mean everyone sees frost in the morning because clouds may linger across the eastern half of the state, keeping temps up. SMH. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Monday is a really nice day with temps in the 60s and a mix of sun and clouds. This sets the stage for another cold night with temps that can be even colder across, especially, central and eastern Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>The NAM is likely too cold in showing a freeze&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/NAM-2-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44016\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/NAM-2-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"968\" height=\"758\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The CANADIAN continues to show the 30s&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Canadian-2-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44013\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Canadian-2-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"971\" height=\"757\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Canadian-2-2.png 971w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Canadian-2-2-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Canadian-2-2-768x599.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 971px) 100vw, 971px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is one of those setups where good radiational cooling can take place, so some of the traditional cold valleys can drop way down there.<\/p>\n<p>Green Thumbs should take precautions to be safe.<\/p>\n<p>Nice fall weather continues through the rest of the week, but what&#8217;s happening in the tropics will dictate everything from this point. We continue to see Tropical Storm Gamma slowly working across the southern Gulf, but the system coming behind it is likely to develop and get into the Gulf&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/xgtwo\/two_atl_5d0.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The GFS Ensembles show this system heading toward the central Gulf Coast and potentially impacting our weather&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.weatherbell.com\/tctracks\/gfs-ensemble\/invest92l\/\/1601791200\/1601791200-GSlm58EuMpQ.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That matches the latest run from the GFS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/GFS-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44015\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/GFS-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The EURO also brings rain from this into Kentucky, but is slower and merges it with a deep trough digging in from the west&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/EURO-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44025\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/EURO-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We will have to wait and see how all this plays out in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the rest of this day and take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon, everyone.
