Here&#8217;s hoping this post finds each of you living your best life. We have a cold front dropping into the region from the northwest and it&#8217;s going to slow down right on top of us. That allows for a wave of low pressure to work through here over the next few days and that spells rounds of showers and storms for parts of the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n<p>Clouds are rolling in today with a few afternoon showers and storms developing across the west. The greatest risk for stronger storms and heavy rainfall continues to be in the areas I&#8217;ve outlined over the past few days&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SPECIAL-MAP-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44298\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SPECIAL-MAP-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"972\" height=\"586\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SPECIAL-MAP-4.png 972w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SPECIAL-MAP-4-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SPECIAL-MAP-4-768x463.png 768w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/SPECIAL-MAP-4-440x264.png 440w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 972px) 100vw, 972px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Storm Prediction Center is also highlighting parts of the state with the low-end risk for Severe Storms on Monday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Temps behind all this will spike well into the 70s for the middle of the week as\u00a0 we get set for another front on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>As all of this is happening, the tropics are flexing a little late season muscle and that&#8217;s exactly what you would expect in this hyper-active season&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/xgtwo\/two_atl_5d0.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>How much development do we get and, if so, where do these systems go?
