<\/p>\nGood Friday, folks. It’s shaping up to be a busy weather day across the Commonwealth as a potent cold front rolls across the state. This brings the chance for strong storms, gusty winds and a major temperature drop. That takes us back into more of a November feel for much of the upcoming weekend. From there, things get active again with rounds of rain and a big temp fight next week.<\/p>\n
Let’s focus on today and roll forward. Temps reach the 70s on a strong southwest flow. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will go up as the day wears on and we’re likely to see a line of showers and storms develop along the front itself. That could spawn some strong or local severe storms across western and central Kentucky. This is where the Storm Prediction Center has a low-end risk for severe weather through Friday evening…<\/p>\n

The temp drop coming behind this front is pretty awesome to see and the NAM is showing temps more than 30 degrees colder from Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon…<\/p>\n

It’s a setup likely to bring rounds of rain, some heavy, to our region from Monday through Friday.
