I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the pattern ahead of us, especially the one starting next week and likely rolling through the rest of the month. It continues to be one that has the look of a big winter weather maker for much of the country.<\/p>\n<p>The setup has been well covered and I have no changes to where I this is going with a deepening trough across our region. This is already starting to show up, but it&#8217;s not until next week that we see the best setup begin to show up. The GFS Ensembles are all over this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/GFS-7.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46526\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/GFS-7.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a setup that skews colder in time and is also a stormy one. Put those two together and you get an increase in snow opportunities.
