Good afternoon, everyone. Our southeastern snow swipe is off to our east and is being replaced by a couple of nice, but seasonably cold days. This calm weather has a short shelf life as a big storm system takes aim at us starting Sunday with another one coming behind it later next week.<\/p>\n

The exact track of the Sunday-Tuesday system is still in question, but this will be a big time precipitation maker around here. Here’s the GFS with our system…<\/p>\n

The initial round moving in Sunday may bring a stripe of winter weather across northern Kentucky. From there, it’s likely about rounds of heavy rain before potentially ending as some winter weather.<\/p>\n

The rainfall numbers from the GFS are concerning…<\/p>\n

The Canadian is a little more robust with the Sunday winter potential in the north…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This run is just a touch farther north with the heaviest rain…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The EURO has a little less rain…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Even the ICON is on the side of a heavier stripe of rainfall…<\/p>\n

Another system follows this up before next week is finished…<\/p>\n

Again, this is a hyper-active pattern ahead of us and it’s likely to continue right on into spring.<\/p>\n
