<\/p>\nGood afternoon, everyone. Snow showers and flurries are lingering across eastern and southeastern Kentucky as that northwest flow does some work. From here, the focus continues to be on a messy setup coming our way for the weekend with a snowy setup right behind that for the first few days of February.<\/p>\n

With our weekend system rolling in here late Saturday into Saturday night, there’s the increasing threat for a wintry mess and snow on the front end of this for parts of the state. The best chance appears to be from the Lexington metro north and northeast, with a thumping snow possible in the Covington\/Cincy areas and north.<\/p>\n

From there, low pressure weakens over West Virginia and transfers energy to the main low in the east. That sets up a strong northwest flow with a few impulses diving in here Monday and Tuesday.
