Snow blasted parts of the state late Saturday into early this morning, with northern Kentucky picking up that quick thumping we&#8217;ve talked about. After a round of rain today, snow takes over again tonight and Monday with additional snow showers and squalls into Tuesday in the east.<\/p>\n<p>Our Sunday starts with this snow changing to rain in the north. For the rest of the state, rain takes us through the morning into early this afternoon. This will then move into West Virginia this evening, allowing for a healthy band of wraparound snows to drop in from the north and northwest through early Monday. Additional wraparound snows will then focus more on central and eastern Kentucky later Monday through early Tuesday. Just watch this whole pinwheeling snowmaker on the future radars. There is nothing more important in the world of weather than making sure you guys have the information you need to stay safe&#8230; Period. Winter Weather Advisories raise awareness AHEAD OF TIME, so people can then plan their travels accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>The setup for the end of the week into next weekend continues to get my attention. A strong cold front plows in here by Friday and may have low pressure developing along it. If that happens, it ups the ante on a big winter weather event in this region.
