That’s a little overcooked for my taste, but the Hi Res NAM isn’t too far behind…<\/p>\n The GFS is more concentrated on the southeast…<\/p>\n EURO<\/p>\n You can see all the models do forecast some, at least, 4″ amounts, but vary on where to put the heaviest. That justifies the continuation of the Winter Storm THREAT for the southeast.<\/p>\n Let’s talk about the setup for the week ahead because it’s one I don’t like the looks of. An arctic front is dropping into the region and will then slow down right on top of us. Areas of low pressure work along the boundary, bringing ample amounts of moisture in here. Low-level arctic cold air in an overrunning setup is the prime way we produce ice in our region.
