Your friendly weatherdude is still going strong as our ice\/winter storm finally wraps up across southeastern Kentucky. The overall pattern continues to be locked and loaded with significant winter weather. We have already put out a Winter Storm THREAT from Sunday night-Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>In the short-term, freezing rain and a mix continues to wind down in the southeast. Some flakes or areas of freezing drizzle may show up else where as gusty winds throw some single digit wind chills at us this evening.<\/p>\n<p>Here are your radars to follow the icy mix out of the southeast&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Clouds look stubborn for many on Friday as little melting takes place for many.<\/p>\n<p>Another system rolls in for Saturday and Saturday evening and is likely to bring a touch of light snow and light freezing rain\/sleet&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/NAM-9.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47724\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/NAM-9.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The storm coming after this is likely to be another major winter storm for Kentucky and surrounding areas. Significant amounts of snow, sleet and freezing rain will be likely, but who gets what of each won&#8217;t be known for another day or so. Another winter storm comes in behind that later in the week, but the models really vary with the track of that thing. Here&#8217;s the late day GFS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/GFS-31.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-47725\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/GFS-31.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Both of these storms will have arctic cold temps to work with and that will make for some very high ratio snows.
