It&#8217;s another toasty temps day out there, but the pattern looks to flip around again later this week as things turn wetter and cooler. This is a setup likely to carry us through the big Memorial Day Weekend and may even roll into early June.<\/p>\n<p>Temps out there today are mainly in the mid and upper 80s with the potential for a local 90 showing up on some of the warm biased thermometers.<\/p>\n<p>Changes begin to show up as early as Tuesday as our first storm threat in a while arrives. This will be fairly isolated and confined to the late afternoon and evening hours as temps continue to run deep into the 80s.<\/p>\n<p>From there, scattered showers and storms will increase into Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a system dropping in from the northwest. This may bring fairly widespread showers and thunderstorms in here to start the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend with another system following that up&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GFS-11.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48948\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GFS-11.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This may bring a nice drink of water into our region and will also bring our temps way down. As a matter of fact, it may be much cooler than normal for the end of May. The EURO is spitting out these numbers for highs Saturday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/EURO-18.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48945\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/EURO-18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"968\" height=\"757\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And for Sunday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/EURO-2-12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48946\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/EURO-2-12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"965\" height=\"759\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, May looks to end tame and June looks to begin rather tame. It&#8217;s also a period likely to feature above normal rainfall.
