A more normal summertime temperature pattern is pushing into the region and looks to stick around into the middle of next week. But, this doesn&#8217;t look like a pattern settling in for the long haul. As a matter of fact, we may see another deep trough dive into the east to close July and Begin August.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s kick things off with what&#8217;s going on out there today. Highs across the west reach the low 90s with a heat index pushing 100. Farther east, things are much cooler with mid and upper 80s with lower humidity levels. There&#8217;s also the chance for a storm or two to go up across the west. Those storms drop in from the northwest and a few of them could be strong and produce locally heavy rains through Monday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/GFS-19.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49547\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/GFS-19.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Storm Prediction Center has a low-end risk for a few severe storms on Sunday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our temps try to surge for a few days into the middle of next week, but this will not hold.
