It&#8217;s a typical August day in the Commonwealth as overall temps finally climb to normal or a bit above. The threat for a few storms comes down, but it&#8217;s ready to ramp back up on Monday as we go into a pattern featuring rounds of showers and storms for the week ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Thermometers on Saturday felt more like summer for a change, but that&#8217;s more the exception than the rule this summer. Take a look at how much of the region has been well below normal for the past month&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Special-Graphic.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49681\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Special-Graphic.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"969\" height=\"760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Special-Graphic.png 969w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Special-Graphic-300x235.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Special-Graphic-768x602.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 969px) 100vw, 969px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a good thing the actual weather doesn&#8217;t listen to weather Twitter or else the entire region would look like a red paint bomb exploded over it.&#x1f534; &#x1f4a3;&#x1f60b;<\/p>\n<p>Temps today make a run at 90-92 in the west and mid to upper 80s for the eastern half of the state. There&#8217;s still the chance for a storm or two to go up and your friendly radars will find whatever is out there&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deep tropical moisture then pushes in here from the southwest starting Monday. Humidity levels will be way up and this will lead to rounds of showers and storms going up and that&#8217;s a trend that continues through the week. The showers and storms my then increase even more ahead of a late week\/early weekend cold front dropping in from the northwest.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how the EURO sees things from Monday through Friday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/EURO-2-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49679\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/EURO-2-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Strong storms may show up from time to time, especially along the front. We will also need to watch for some cloudbursts causing local high water issues. Today, let&#8217;s take a look at the CFS for December-February.
