Good afternoon, everyone. Our very cold Thanksgiving week is ending with the coldest day of the bunch. As we look ahead, we see a few more systems grazing our area this weekend, with a more interesting setup taking shape as we get into early December.<\/p>\n

The first system moves into the Ohio Valley late Saturday into Sunday with another one moving over the same area by Monday. Most of the moisture with these stays to our north, but a rain or snow shower may sneak into the far north and far east at some point…<\/p>\n

Seasonable temps look to close November, but the numbers are likely to surge into the first few days of December. This will be ahead of a much different pattern taking shape next weekend into the following week as we find some major amplification in the jet stream. Watch these deep troughs diving into the country and our region…<\/p>\n

EURO December 3-6…<\/p>\n

GFS December 3-8…<\/p>\n

Canadian December 3-6<\/p>\n

A setup like that can fire up some big winter storm systems across the eastern half of the country. A consistent signal continues to show up on the models for next weekend into early the following week. Again, we are looking for trends and signals and NOT specifics. Individual runs are never to be taken verbatim as specifics vary wildly from this far out. We good on all that? 😜😎<\/p>\n

The EURO has a major storm in the east and a weaker one right behind it…<\/p>\n

The GFS continues to have the signal…<\/p>\n

The Canadian has joined the party…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Again, wea re looking at trends and signals and the signal has been there for a few days now. The trends are also showing up on the GFS Ensembles. Again, this is NOT being shown for specifics, but a general trend that the 27 member GFS Ensembles are seeing the snow chances over the next 2 weeks…<\/p>\n
