I wanted to drop by for a quick update on our developing winter storm. The morning model runs of the NAM and GFS continued to trend a bit farther eastward with the lead low across eastern Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind&#8230; I made some adjustments to my winter storm update map. This brings our Ohio River counties from Covington to Louisville very close to the highest impact area&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=5295\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5295\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5295\" alt=\"Special\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Special6.png\" width=\"512\" height=\"271\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Special6.png 512w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Special6-300x158.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not going to take much more of an eastward adjustment to get more of the state into the highest impact zone. We still have a lot of time and model runs before this thing is set in stone.<\/p>\n<p>As of now&#8230; A Winter Storm Watch is now out for parts of western Kentucky&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/?attachment_id=5296\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5296\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5296\" alt=\"Warnings\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Warnings.png\" width=\"625\" height=\"382\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Warnings.png 625w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Warnings-300x183.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a>I wouldn&#8217;t be surprised to see more counties added to that later today.<\/p>\n<p>I will try to get you an update later this evening, but it is Christmas Eve.
