It&#8217;s a very windy and warm day and this is leading to some forest fire issues across the region. Today&#8217;s winds are ahead of a big cold front that knocks the numbers down for the weekend as we also track a little light snow.<\/p>\n<p>My concern is also growing for a severe weather threat later next week.<\/p>\n<p>Temps today are reaching 60-65 across the southern half of the state with temps in the 50s in the north. Winds of 40mph or greater are also showing up.<\/p>\n<p>Rain arrives this evening from northwest to southeast. A few rounds of light snow and flurries will show up and some areas can pick up light accumulations from time to time, especially in the central and east.<\/p>\n<p>Temps rebound by the middle of next week ahead of a potent storm system moving from the Mississippi Valley into the Great Lakes Wednesday and Thursday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FLVJEbUXsAQyvZX?format=png&amp;name=medium\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a heavy rain and high wind maker around here with the increasing potential for strong to severe storms.
