Good Monday to one and all. It’s another cold day with some flakes flying across the region, but the focus is on a much bigger system rolling our way later this week. This can bring everything from strong storms to some winter weather to our region.<\/p>\n

Let’s begin with today and roll forward. Morning light snow and flurries may cause a few travel issues for parts of central and eastern Kentucky. Once this moves away, cold winds make the low and middle 30s feel more like the low and middle 20s.<\/p>\n

Milder winds kick in for Tuesday as temps hit the 50s for many with some low 60s in the west.<\/p>\n

Those 60s take over on Wednesday as clouds increase ahead of our mid-week storm system. The models are giving us different signals, but the one coming from the GFS is concerning as it places our region in the severe storms zone…<\/p>\n

The Canadian Model has a much colder look which presses everything much farther south and gives us heavy rain to winter weather…<\/p>\n

The EURO is more of a cross between the two, but it has trended toward the GFS…<\/p>\n

The longer range continues to look active with much above normal precipitation in our region through the next 2 weeks…<\/p>\n
