We are coming off a wild weather ride over the past 24 hours and now we are back into a cold pattern to end the week and begin the weekend. As things calm down for a few days, I&#8217;m focusing on another super-duper active pattern taking shape for next week.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s get into what&#8217;s going on out there today before we look ahead. Temps are in the 20s with wind chills in the teens this morning as a few snowflakes fly around, especially across the east. Here are your radars&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highs this afternoon find temps in the 30s under partly sunny skies.<\/p>\n<p>Another weak cold front drops in here late tonight and early Saturday and it may spit out a few flakes in the north and northeast. Skies quickly become partly sunny with temps in the 30s.<\/p>\n<p>Milder winds kick in for Sunday as temps recover into the 50s. This southwest wind is ahead of another potent setup taking shape for next week. We will see a boundary setting up across our region with a few storm systems rolling along it.<\/p>\n<p>The first system throws rain and some thunderstorms in here late Monday through early Wednesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"css-9pa8cd\" draggable=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FL2gu4mWUAMfKdl?format=jpg&amp;name=large\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Heavy rains may cause flooding issues during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Another system follows that up a few days later and has much more cold air to work with and that may mean a farther south track&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FL23HOzX0BAPv8k?format=jpg&amp;name=large\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I really don&#8217;t see much of a letup in the overall active pattern through March. The GFS Extended Ensembles continue to show MUCH above normal precipitation through March 23rd&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"css-9pa8cd\" draggable=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FL2JcPbWUAEcCDq?format=png&amp;name=medium\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Again, I don&#8217;t think all of that is in liquid form as winter tries to flex some in early March.<\/p>\n<p>I will have another update later today.
