Good Monday to one and all. We’ve made it to the middle of March and our temps are set to recover in a big, big way. It’s another taste of spring, but I’m not convinced this is the true start of the spring season. As a matter of fact, there’s a colder look already taking shape in the longer range.<\/p>\n

Temps today warm into the 50s in the east and 60-65 in the west. Whatever snow you have left is about to get wiped out.<\/p>\n

Temps hit the 60s for the entire region Tuesday as a weak system passes just to our south. This has a chance to bring a shower or two into the far south and southeast through early Wednesday, but most remain dry…<\/p>\n

Temps take off for the middle and end of the week with upper 60s and low 70s for highs…<\/p>\n

That will get those spring juices flowing in a hurry!!<\/p>\n

Another system rolls through here by later Friday and Saturday with showers and storms ahead of it and colder air behind it…<\/p>\n

The Canadian shows a pretty wound up system…<\/p>\n

That’s able to tap a quick shot of cold behind it that’s able to produces a few flakes by Saturday night…<\/p>\n

No thanks.<\/p>\n

Temps rebound into next week as a bowling ball looking system rolls across the country…<\/p>\n

That could lead to some strong storms before a big temperature crash.<\/p>\n

The longer range for the end of March into early April continues to take on a colder look and that’s because of blocking showing up, especially over Greenland. The extended GFS Ensembles show a pretty massive -NAO taking shape during this time…<\/p>\n

A -NAO in the spring can be an ugly look around here, so here’s hoping it pulls out of that fairly quickly.<\/p>\n
