It&#8217;s the final day of April and we have the threat for strong to severe storms to track. This kicks off a pattern that looks rather stormy as we head into Kentucky Derby week. Will those showers and storms last into the big weekend? That&#8217;s a possibility.<\/p>\n<p>A few storms will be noted out there today, but you get much more dry time than anything else. Temps surge into the upper 70s and low 80s.<\/p>\n<p>A line of showers and storms will develop and move into western Kentucky late this afternoon and evening. That&#8217;s where the SPC has a risk for severe weather today&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That line then moves across central Kentucky overnight with the chance for strong to severe storms. This should weaken into the east by early Sunday, but a new line of storms might fire up in the east and southeast later in the day. That&#8217;s where the SPC has a low-end risk for severe storms&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/public\/state\/images\/KY_swody2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dry weather rolls in from west to east Sunday and continues into Monday before the next system brings the threat for strong storms on Tuesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"css-9pa8cd\" draggable=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FRiz1JQXoAEuC3j?format=png&amp;name=medium\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That zips through with another dry spell for the middle of the week. That&#8217;s ahead of yet another system moving in for the end of the week.
