We have a cold front working through the region today and this will bring a brief round of calm weather. Rounds of storms look to kick in for the middle and end of the week with the increasing chance for some strong or severe storms during that time.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of strong to severe storms, some early morning big boomers are rolling through here ahead of our cold front early today. Skies are mainly dry during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Rounds of thunderstorms return Wednesday and Thursday as a boundary straddles the region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FS0nTGlWUAIbnA2?format=jpg&amp;name=large\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few strong to severe storms will be possible and these may put down a lot of rain in some areas.<\/p>\n<p>Temps then surge big time for a few days ahead of a strong cold front working in here over the weekend. That&#8217;s likely to crank a line of strong to severe storms ahead of it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FS0nTGiWUAE6vIj?format=jpg&amp;name=large\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The models are bringing a big blast of below normal temps coming in behind it. Recent runs of the GFS are showing a healthy run of below normal temps. Check out the 5 day average anomalies from May 21-May 27&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FS0nTGlXoAA08r5?format=png&amp;name=medium\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some of the models are hinting at early season tropical development way down in the Caribbean.
