Good Saturday and welcome to a much better weather pattern. Much cooler air has taken control of things for a few days and this coincides with our Father’s Day Weekend. Soak it up because more heat is on the way in the week ahead of us.<\/p>\n

Temps today are in the mid and upper 70s for most of central Kentucky with upper 70s and low 80s west. Humidity levels are low under a big blue sky. With clear skies and low humidity, temps tonight can make a run into the 40s for the eastern half of the state…<\/p>\n

We may challenge a few records.<\/p>\n

Father’s Day looks equally as nice with 75-80 most of central and eastern Kentucky with 80-85 far west. Humidity levels continue to remain low.<\/p>\n

Monday is still mostly nice as temps return to the 80s.<\/p>\n

That’s ahead of another run of 90-95 degree air for many Tuesday through Thursday. The numbers can climb a little higher, especially in the west.<\/p>\n

The model disagreement continues to show up with the GFS firmly into the low and middle 90s…<\/p>\n

The Canadian continues to correct toward the GFS…<\/p>\n

The EURO continues to show the most extreme temps one could dream up with record highs and near record all-time highs…<\/p>\n

Something funky has happened to the EURO and it’s almost as if the model has been skewed to intentionally always show much hotter than normal temps… and much hotter than the reality.<\/p>\n

Can we get some late week showers and storms to help things out?<\/p>\n

The GFS shows that potential as early as Wednesday night and Thursday…<\/p>\n

The same model then shows a complex of storms for Friday…<\/p>\n

The GFS then tries to throw us another cooler bone next weekend…<\/p>\n

Other models don’t agree, but those same models couldn’t find this weekend’s nice weather until just a few days ago.<\/p>\n
