It&#8217;s a really pleasant brand of air blowing into the region today and this takes us through the middle of the week. The pattern grows much more active once the calendar flips to July and that means the threat for thunderstorms will be around for the big 4th of July holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin, as usual, with what&#8217;s going on out there today.<\/p>\n<p>Our cold front is pushing to our south and taking any remaining shower or storm with it. Still, a little action may be around early today in the far south and southeast. Many areas stay in the 70s this afternoon and that sets the stage for a cool night ahead. This is also when the pattern turns active and that looks to continue through the 4th of July weekend and beyond.
