Our weather pattern is about to make a dramatic change toward wintertime with some heavy rain sandwiched in between. Yes, I said wintertime that will be complete with a few snow chances showing up.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s get this party started with tracking Nicole. This is forecast to be a hurricane while hitting Florida later tonight. From there, this system will track toward the southern Appalachian Mountains. Here&#8217;s the latest from the National Hurricane Center&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/storm_graphics\/AT17\/refresh\/AL172022_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind+png\/145816_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind.png\" alt=\"cone graphic\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Take our exclusive interactive radar for a spin to track Nicole. Rain overspreads central and eastern Kentucky Thursday night into Friday and the trend is a bit farther west. A general 1&#8243;-3&#8243; of rain is possible across much of central and eastern Kentucky. That would bring the chance for some light rain and light snow mix across parts of the state on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian was the first to sniff this out and continues to lead the charge&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/CANADIAN-15.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55568\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/CANADIAN-15.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The GFS is trending that direction&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GFS-2-10.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55581\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GFS-2-10.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a very cold look into next week when the pattern tries to throw a storm system rolling in here from the southwest Tuesday and Wednesday.
