Another light rain and light mix maker is rolling into the region as we continue with a very early winter pattern across our part of the world. I&#8217;ll take a look at the current system, and I&#8217;ll also take a brief look into Thanksgiving week.<\/p>\n<p>My time is limited because I&#8217;ve been pulling a Clark W. Griswold on my day off from work&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NationalLampoonChristmasLightsGIF.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55742\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NationalLampoonChristmasLightsGIF.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"140\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a recap of the headlines&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Light rain and some light snow pushes in overnight into Tuesday.<\/li>\n<li>The best chance for some flakes is across northern Kentucky.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019ve seen similar situations produce a touch of freezing rain at the start, especially in the colder valleys of eastern Kentucky.<\/li>\n<li>Once this system passes by, temps drop again as a weak system moves in from the northwest.<\/li>\n<li>That produces a few streaks of light snow and snow showers Wednesday into early Thursday. Some light accumulations will be possible.<\/li>\n<li>REALLY cold air comes in behind all this for the end of the week into the weekend. There\u2019s a small chance for a clipper type system to impact us during this time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The GFS continues to be the most enthusiastic with the snow chances early Tuesday across northcentral and northern parts of the state&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GFS-27.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55739\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GFS-27.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The future radar from the Hi Res NAM is more rain than anything&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NAM-9.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55741\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NAM-9.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can clearly see the snow showers and light snow streaks kicking in behind that on Wednesday.
