Light snow and flurries continue to push across areas of central and eastern Kentucky as the wicked wind chills begin to kick in. This settles in for the weekend ahead of changes for Thanksgiving week.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s bands of light snow and flurries will taper off, but not before leaving behind some light coatings. Here&#8217;s a wind chill animation from the Hi Res NAM starting at 7am Saturday and ending at 7am Sunday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NAM-17.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55840\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/NAM-17.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have no changes to my idea of a Thanksgiving weekend storm system that starts as wind and rain and ends with colder weather and the chance for flakes. The models will continue to be all over the place through the weekend, but should start to settle down soon.<\/p>\n<p>The latest GFS is going toward the deeper trough idea&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GFS-37.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-55843\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GFS-37.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a positive tilted trough, but that&#8217;s likely to be slower and take on more of a negative tilt, resulting in a bigger storm system.
