As we get ready to flip the calendar from one year to the next, our weather pattern is about to do a big flip of its own. A mild and wet setup continues to take shape as we end 2022 and begin 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with the weather out there today. Highs are in the 40s with a 50 possible in the west and south. Say goodbye to the snow on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers continue to climb over the next few days as our new pattern starts to flex on us. This will send a series of storm systems rolling in from the southwest, bringing rounds of heavy rain and even a few thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall is a good bet on the final day of the year&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Canadian-56.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-57205\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Canadian-56.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From there, additional systems roll in next week.
