Good evening, folks. After a frigid start to the day, temps warmed up nicely this afternoon and this is a sign of things to come. Much milder weather pushes in ahead of another busy setup ahead for next week. This busy setup may also bring a winter weather threat by late week or next weekend.<\/p>\n

Temps are in the 50s for the next couple of days with very gusty winds. Those winds are ahead of a cold front moving in here late Tuesday with a gusty band of showers. This front slows down as low pressure moves in on Wednesday and early Thursday. That brings widespread rain with it…<\/p>\n

Once this goes through, colder air pushes in from the northwest as we watch a deep trough work in here for the end of the week and weekend. The models differ with the strength of this trough with the GFS being the strongest…<\/p>\n

The EURO handles this much differently and that’s likely because of the model bias of holding too much energy back in the southwest…<\/p>\n

With a stronger upper level system, the GFS has been advertising a much stronger surface storm system with winter weather…<\/p>\n

That’s certainly something to track in the coming days.<\/p>\n
