A cold front is working through the region today and it&#8217;s bringing some seasonable air back into the region as we start the weekend. This is ahead of another active setup with, at least, two big storm systems coming next week.<\/p>\n<p>This evening&#8217;s front is bringing a broken band of showers to the area and those will show up on your radars\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Temps on Friday range from 40-45 in the north to 50-55 in the south.<\/p>\n<p>A few showers work in for the weekend, but this isn&#8217;t widespread or a washout by any means. Temps will be in the 40s and 50s for Saturday and closing in on 60 by Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s when a strong southwest wind kicks in for Monday ahead of a potent storm system. This system brings high winds and the potential for strong to severe storms as it sweeps into the region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/EURO-2-6.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58479\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/EURO-2-6.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The wind gust forecast with this system is something to behold&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/GFS-18.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58481\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/GFS-18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"963\" height=\"757\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/GFS-18.png 963w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/GFS-18-300x236.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/GFS-18-768x604.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 963px) 100vw, 963px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Shocker!<\/p>\n<p>Mild temps continue behind that as we close the door on February and blow our way into March. There&#8217;s another big storm system likely showing up late next week into the following weekend and it can bring a bit of everything.<\/p>\n<p>Much depends on the track of this storm and the models, as expected, have a lot of variances with that track.<\/p>\n<p>The latest GFS actually has two storms.
