Good afternoon, everyone. A moderate to heavy band of snow is working across the northern half of the state this afternoon. It has put down a quick inch or two for some spots and similar totals will be possible as it works eastward this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The accumulation is mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. Air temps are above freezing and road temps are well above freezing. This will have little impact on road conditions, though a slick spot will be possible where the snow falls hard enough for a time.<\/p>\n

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of the area this afternoon…<\/p>\n

\"Warnings\"<\/a><\/p>\n

While I do think this is an Advisory worthy event… it will be used as a future reference in the impact vs. criteria debate. 2″ of slush on grass at 35 degrees meets the criteria for an advisory, but a half inch of snow covering roads at 15 degrees does not. Which of those will have a greater impact on your life?<\/p>\n
