Good afternoon, folks. I wanted to drop by for a quick update on the increasing severe storms threat for Sunday and Sunday night. Rounds of storms will work across the region and likely cause some issues.<\/p>\n

One round of strong to severe storms moves in overnight and early Sunday across the west. Damaging winds and large hail are the main players with this line.<\/p>\n

Once that moves away, temps and humidity surge and it gets downright toasty. This steamy air will increase the amount of instability and this is the fuel to rapidly ignite severe storms from southern Illionois to Ohio. This will rapidly drop in from the north and west during the late afternoon and evening hours. Storms will then race across the state, producing severe weather along the way.<\/p>\n

The Storm Prediction Center now has the Enhanced Risk out for much of Kentucky…<\/p>\n

Damaging wind is the primary threat from these storms\u2026<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Large hail is also a good possibility\u2026<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There\u2019s enough shear available to get some of these storms to start spinning and that could lead to a few tornadoes. Here\u2019s the Tornado Probability map from the SPC\u2026<\/p>\n

In the short term, the Storm Prediction Center has the low-end risk for severe storms in the far west this evening…<\/p>\n
