Our weekend is off and running with steamy temps and rounds of thunderstorms on the increase. These storms rumble through today and may put down heavy rains and flirt with severe limits for some.<\/p>\n<p>Low pressure is rolling in from the Mississippi Valley and looks to bowl from west to east across Kentucky today. This spin fires up rounds of showers and storms that can put down torrential rains along and ahead of the track of the low. This may lead to local flash flooding in a few spots.<\/p>\n<p>Some storms will be around this morning but those look scattered. The greatest risk for strong to locally severe storms comes this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has the low-end risk for much of the state today&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1.png?1683922326\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s your breakdown of the individual threats for our Saturday\u2026<\/p>\n<p>DAMAGING WIND<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_WIND.png?1683994986\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_WIND.png?1683994986\" \/><\/p>\n<p>LARGE HAIL<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_HAIL.png?1683995056\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_HAIL.png?1683995056\" \/><\/p>\n<p>TORNADO THREAT<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_TORN.png?1683994864\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.spc.noaa.gov\/partners\/outlooks\/state\/images\/KY_swody1_TORN.png?1683994864\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t all day rainfall by any means, so you will have dry times to get out there and enjoy. Temps outside of storms generally range from the low to middle 80s with 70s in the rain. Western Kentucky will be a bit toastier.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday brings us more in the way of toast with a lower threat for a storm or two going up.<\/p>\n<p>Scattered storms will be with us Monday and Tuesday as temps come down a bit. I&#8217;m still focused on the potential for a few big time clusters of storms to impact our weather from Tuesday night through Thursday.
