That system working through the Mississippi Valley is bringing a few showers into parts of the state today. This happens as the overall pattern slowly becomes much more active over the next week and change.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s showers are out there, especially across the western half of the state. One or two of these may sneak into central Kentucky, but I&#8217;m not holding my breath on that. Farther east, a few showers working against the grain may show up. It&#8217;s one the National Hurricane Center is watching for possible development&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/xgtwo\/two_atl_7d0.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This may be a tropical or subtropical system but it&#8217;s likely to stay on the other side of the Appalachians&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>GFS<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-16.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60823\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-16.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>NAM<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NAM-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60825\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/NAM-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This low means we catch a strong northwest wind flow setting up late Friday through Saturday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60822\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"962\" height=\"755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-4.png 962w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-4-300x235.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-4-768x603.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 962px) 100vw, 962px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gusts of 20-25mph will be possible during this time.<\/p>\n<p>That same flow also brings another nice brand of air with it.<\/p>\n<p>This sets the stage for our pattern to get MUCH more active next week as an upper level low, or a series of upper level systems, work into the region&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Canadian-16.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60828\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Canadian-16.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rounds of rain will be possible during this time and there&#8217;s a chance for us to finally cash in on some beneficial rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>If we take a light-hearted look at the EURO Weeklies snowfall forecast through the start of November, we find the model run showing the chance for flakes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/EURO-5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60820\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/EURO-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"964\" height=\"762\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/EURO-5.png 964w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/EURO-5-300x237.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/EURO-5-768x607.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tis&#8217; almost the season!!! &#x2744;&#xfe0f;&#x2603;&#xfe0f;<\/p>\n<p>Have a terrific Thursday and take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Thursday, everyone.
