Rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue to rumble across the Bluegrass state, delivering some much-needed rains along the way. These storms will slow down some later today and start to pull out of town as we head into early Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a quick recap of today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A few strong to severe storms will be with us early this morning. Large hail is the primary threat from any storm that&#8217;s out there.<\/li>\n<li>These storms will also be accompanied by a lot of lightning and torrential rains.<\/li>\n<li>Some areas may get enough rain to cause local high water issues, especially this morning.<\/li>\n<li>Scattered showers and storms will then spin around low pressure moving through here this afternoon and evening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are your radars to follow along\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-wrap\">\n<div class=\"post-content entry-content\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Lingering showers may be noted early Friday before skies start to clean up. Highs are mainly in the 70s.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday may feature some lingering clouds, especially early on. By the afternoon, skies turn partly sunny with 75-80 central and eastern Kentucky and low 80s in the west. That&#8217;s how we wrap up the month of September.<\/p>\n<p>October continues to look rather warm to start as we find ourselves in the warm part of an Omega Block setting up across North America&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60891\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-9.png 960w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-9-300x238.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/GFS-9-768x608.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That leads to highs in the 80s next week.<\/p>\n<p>This pattern is going to change during the second week of October and the signals are there for a pretty big flip. If we look at the indices coming from the west coast and out in the Pacific, we find some pretty big blocking signatures.
