We have a winter storm ready to blast the bluegrass state later this evening through early Wednesday. Today&#8217;s rain will switch to snow and a band of heavy snow is likely to set up across parts of the state as the storm works to our east.<\/p>\n<p>This will be a day of more updates, so let&#8217;s hit the high notes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Heavy rain will push across the state today as temps spike well into the 40s.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Low pressure will move just to our east this evening and that allows for cold air to work in here. Rain will quickly switch to snow during this time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A moderate to heavy band of snow will sink in here overnight and early Wednesday. Areas underneath this band will likely pick up on a quick hitting snowfall of several inches.
