Good Thursday, folks. Our wicked stretch of wintry weather is coming to an end. We’ve had snow on 7 of the past 8 days here in the bluegrass state. Temps have been running WELL below normal during this time. All of this has had fans of spring nearing the ledge.<\/p>\n

Hang tough… we have a nice little burst of milder air moving in for the upcoming weekend.<\/p>\n

Temps today will still be cold with highs in the upper 30s and low 40s as skies become partly sunny. Friday looks even better with temps nearing 50 for many areas as the sunshine continues.<\/p>\n

That brings us to Saturday and Sunday and a run into the 60s…<\/p>\n

\"GFS\"<\/p>\n

Those are the numbers from the GFS and they may be running a touch too cool. Skies both days will feature some sunshine, but clouds will be increasing later Sunday and there’s the chance for a shower by evening.<\/p>\n

That shower chance will increase Sunday night and Monday as a storm system works across the Ohio Valley. This may bring some heavy rain and a rumble of thunder our way.<\/p>\n

Much colder air will then work in behind that system for Tuesday and Wednesday as we go back into a colder than normal pattern.<\/p>\n
