Good afternoon, everyone. Severe storms are racing across the state bringing high winds and a tornado threat. This is ahead of low pressure rolling through the region with cold winds and some snowflakes set to follow by Sunday.<\/p>\n

I will have all your storm tracking tools in a moment, but I do want to talk briefly about the flakes Sunday and Sunday night. The best chance for light accumulations is across the far southeastern Kentucky counties. Farther west and north, some flurries or a light snow shower or two can fly during this time.<\/p>\n

Temps are much colder Sunday into Monday before seasonable numbers roll in for the rest of next week. That will be accompanied by calm weather ahead of another big eastern US storm likely to develop next weekend. The details of that are a long, long way from being ironed out as we have a big dip in the jet stream trying to meet up with a cutoff system coming out of the south…<\/p>\n
