It&#8217;s full steam ahead toward the weekend and the big system likely coming out of the Gulf of Mexico and impacting our weather. The models are starting to come around to a farther west and stronger system.<\/p>\n<p>The GFS is now going with a fully phased system that comes much farther west with this storm. That track means a lot of rain and wind before colder temps and maybe a few flakes early next week&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GFS-2-14.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62478\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GFS-2-14.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The GFS has a friend in the ICON which has almost the exact same track&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/icon-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62477\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/icon-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"786\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The EURO is getting in on the west trend as well, though not to the extent of the above models&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/EURO-21.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62472\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/EURO-21.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that the EURO had a much farther east starting point compared to other models.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian model is the most progressive of the models&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/CANADIAN-15.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62473\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/CANADIAN-15.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The funny thing is, I can see how each of those runs could be correct.<\/p>\n<p>Looking farther down the road toward Christmas week, we are finding the Ensembles showing the highest heights migrating into Canada, allowing for deepening troughs to sweep underneath across the country&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>GFS ENSEMBLES<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GFS-22.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62475\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GFS-22.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>CANADIAN ENSEMBLES<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/CANADIAN-2-3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62474\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/CANADIAN-2-3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the evening and take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good evening, folks.
