I&#8217;m not going to lie, today&#8217;s weather has me fully on board with #TeamSpring, but #TeamSnow is trying to lure me back into the fold with a Friday blast of winter. This looks to put snow on the ground for much of the region.<\/p>\n<p>A few quick thoughts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Light rain and light snow develop across western Kentucky Friday afternoon.<\/li>\n<li>This rolls east during the afternoon and evening with snow becoming the predominant precipitation type.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s going to snow pretty good for a while Friday evening with slick roads becoming likely.<\/li>\n<li>A general 1&#8243;-3&#8243; will be likely for many, with lower amounts in the far south because the mix hangs on much longer here.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s the chance for a spot or two to wind up closer to 4&#8243;.<\/li>\n<li>Cold air crashes in behind this system with wind chills close to 10 by Saturday morning.<\/li>\n<li>Highs on Saturday won&#8217;t get above freezing for many with flurries and early morning snow showers ending.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nothing I&#8217;ve seen has changed my mind on the light snowfall&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1-MAP-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63977\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1-MAP-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"912\" height=\"523\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1-MAP-3.png 912w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1-MAP-3-300x172.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/1-MAP-3-768x440.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 912px) 100vw, 912px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The forecast models all have the 1&#8243;-3&#8243; swath with the usual deviations.
