<\/FONT>Good Thursday evening everyone. The latest computer forecast models are trending toward the more wintry solution for parts of eastern Kentucky we have been hinting at for several days.

The European Model has been the leader in forecasting low pressure to form across the south and then ride up the east coast Friday into Saturday. The American Models had been lost in the woods until today and now both are showing exactly what the European Model is forecasting.

This means rains will develop across Tennessee later tonight and work northeast into southern and eastern Kentucky on Friday. Check out just how similar the GFS and European Models are…

That is a cold rain increasing across southern and eastern Kentucky on Friday. Some of those light rains could sneak into the bluegrass region.

As this low pressure deepens across the Carolinas Friday night and Saturday… colder air will be drawn in and the potential is there for a mix of rain and snow or a switch to snow for southeastern Kentucky.

The NAM was the last model to come around to the storm solution and it went all in with the latest run…

You can see the model tries to put some light snow down across southeastern Kentucky with a major snowstorm for the West Virginia Mountains, Virginia and then into the northeast.

The morning run of the GFS looks similar…



I told you this was a pattern straight out of winter! A lot of forecasts from other sources are going to be changing very soon.
