Warm temps are returning to the region today as we gear up for another pattern change later in the week. As we go back to a cooler than normal setup, some healthy showers and storms are likely to usher in this change.<\/p>\n<p>Temps today rebound into the 80s for much of the state. Humidity will be high so we are going to feel a bit muggy as well.<\/p>\n<p>This humidity can also fire up a scattered shower or storm but we shouldn&#8217;t see this as widespread as the past few days\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tuesday is another day in the 80s with a storm or two blowing up as the day wears on.<\/p>\n<p>Showers and storms will become much more common Wednesday into Thursday as a cold front drops in from the west. At the same time, a wave of low pressure develops along the boundary. This will help enhance the chance for heavy rain producing thunderstorms, which could also be strong.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the EURO from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/EURO-1.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65212\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/EURO-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Locally heavy rainfall will be a good bet during this time and that could lead to a few issues.<\/p>\n<p>Much cooler than normal temps will then slide through here late this week into the weekend. That likely gets reinforced by another cool blast early next week.
