Our stormy pattern continues to throw clusters of storms at us and this is a trend that continues for much of the week. Some of these storms can be strong or severe and put down enough rain to cause local high water issues.

Today starts with one big complex of storms slowly pulling out of southern and southeastern Kentucky around daybreak. Skies turn very steamy after this with downright hot weather in the west. Another complex of storms then fires up by late afternoon and evening and drops in from northwest to southeast.

Exactly where this sets up remains to be seen. Additional clusters of big storms then develop behind that into Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Again, its going to be interesting to see exactly where these develop and which areas of the state get the worst of them.

Some of the hi res models suggest the west gets in on a lot of the action, while other models continue to be centered more on central and eastern Kentucky.

The WRF is one of those models and indicates some hefty rainfall totals through Wednesday night…

The NAM goes through Thursday night and also hits some of these same areas pretty darn hard…

This is why we have to remain on guard for flash flooding issue from any cluster of storms that works through here in the coming days.
