We are coming off an incredibly wet week of weather across Kentucky as several inches of rain fell across the Commonwealth. As we kick off the weekend, we are still tracking some scattered stuff as our focus turns toward a tropical system near Florida.<\/p>\n<p>An upper level system drops through the region behind a departing surface low today. This will keep a few showers and storms rolling through central and eastern Kentucky, especially this afternoon and evening.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s still enough low-level juice hanging around for some heavy downpours in a few spots.<\/p>\n<p>Your Kentucky Weather radars have had a workout over the past week and they&#8217;re still standing strong on this Saturday\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sunday looks to be a dry day and that hangs around into Monday and Tuesday as temps turn seasonably steamy.<\/p>\n<p>From there, much of what happens may be dictated by the developing tropical system near Florida. You can see this spin coming off Cuba and into the southeastern part of the Gulf just off the coast of Florida&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov\/GOES16\/ABI\/SECTOR\/gm\/GEOCOLOR\/GOES16-GM-GEOCOLOR-1000x1000.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This will become Tropical Storm Debby later today as it heads toward the big bend of Florida for a Sunday night or early Monday landfall. Can it become a hurricane before it does so? This crosses the state and emerges into the Atlantic early next week. Here&#8217;s the latest from the National Hurricane Center&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/storm_graphics\/AT04\/refresh\/AL042024_5day_cone_no_line_and_wind+png\/151626.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This system slows down along or just off the Georgia\/South Carolina coast.
