After a severe storms filled Saturday, we have a blast of fall-like weather rolling into Kentucky and surrounding areas. This pattern may even deliver near record low temps in the week ahead.\u00a0 Wait&#8230; What? Yep.<\/p>\n<p>Low pressure is wrapping up to our northeast today, giving us a very unusual flow for the middle of August. A northwest wind flow will bring all kinds of showers and embedded thunderstorms into central and eastern Kentucky today. While not a washout of a day, you will need to have the umbrella nearby if you&#8217;re heading out and about.<\/p>\n<p>Here are your radars to track the action coming in from the north and northwest\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/builder.zoomradar.net\/zoomradar_weather_map\/weather_page.php?key=dlFZs5IY4VCw7bK\" width=\"560\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/radar-large.asp?partner=netweather&amp;traveler=0&amp;site=KY_&amp;type=SIR&amp;anim=1&amp;level=state&amp;large=1#\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"jetpack-lazy-image jetpack-lazy-image--handled lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#largemap\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sirocco.accuweather.com\/nx_mosaic_640x480_public\/sir\/inmaSIRKY_.gif\" data-lazy-loaded=\"1\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There could even be a little small hail that shows up with some of these.<\/p>\n<p>Highs today range from the mid 70s to low 80s across central and eastern Kentucky with 80-85 where skies are brighter in the west.<\/p>\n<p>This northwest flow becomes more northerly in time and this brings in one of the coolest air masses you are ever going to find for this time of year. Temps are well below normal through Thursday and the temperature departure forecast even shows some Barney colors&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/GFS-14.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65953\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/GFS-14.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Highs from Monday through Wednesday may not get out of the 70s for many areas.
