Our first weekend of November is off and running with pleasant conditions across Kentucky and surrounding areas. The overall pattern does look to rev up quite a bit as we head into next week and beyond.

Temps out there today start in the 30s for many as we end things in the 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. Milder winds then kick in on Sunday with temps surging back into the 70s on a strong southwesterly flow. The leading edge of this mild air may spit out a shower or two in the west and north later Sunday.

Mild temps will be noted for Monday into Election Day as we await the arrival of another cold front.

Let’s hit the high notes of the pattern:

Our cold front arriving late Tuesday into Wednesday brings showers and a few thunderstorms in here. Winds will also be gusty.

This front may slow down a bit with a lingering shower change into Thursday.

The tropics look to spawn a storm or two with the possibility of a named system in the Gulf of Mexico.

At the same time, a big time storm system is likely to slowly eject out of the Plains and toward our region. The arrival time may be next weekend.

What kind, if any, interaction do we get with this storm system and the possible Gulf system? That’s something we will need to watch closely.

Speaking of the tropics, here are the systems the National Hurricane Center are monitoring…

The models are all looking seeing this active setup and it’s a setup that can produce gusty winds and some strong storms from time to time.

The GFS…

The Canadian…

Here’s the EURO with the evolution…

The EURO AI keeps the bowling ball storm systems coming all the way through the end of the run into the middle of November…

Have a sensational Saturday and take care.

Good Saturday, everyone.
