Temps are slowly dropping from west to east as a cold front makes its way across the region. This brings a period of light snow behind it with snow showers and a few squalls set to follow a few hours later.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still rolling with my First Call map for the first round of winter weather later tonight and early Wednesday&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/SPECIAL-MAP-5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67871\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/SPECIAL-MAP-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"994\" height=\"591\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/SPECIAL-MAP-5.png 994w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/SPECIAL-MAP-5-300x178.png 300w, https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/SPECIAL-MAP-5-768x457.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The greatest risk for a few inches of snow continues to be in the east and there&#8217;s still the chance for a stripe of locally higher totals to show up. This is an Advisory type snowfall in this area.<\/p>\n<p>The latest Canadian model runs have upped the chances for a little more than 2&#8243; in parts of the east as it blows up a pretty good snow band to begin Wednesday.
