Better weather is back in the region and will take us into the start of the upcoming weekend. That changes quickly with two big rain makers moving in\u00a0 and that will be followed by a pattern that winter weather lovers should like in the lead up to Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>This weekend&#8217;s rain system won&#8217;t really impact us until late Saturday with much of the rain Saturday night into Sunday. Another rain system then moves in right behind it for early next week&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CANADIAN-3-5.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67960\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CANADIAN-3-5.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The setup after this has a chance to turn pretty darn cold and wintry from late next week into Christmas week. How we get there is still a battle on the models, but the potential is there for a snow system or two to impact our region.<\/p>\n<p>The models are going to give us some pretty wild swings in the coming days, so just buckle up and expect that.<\/p>\n<p>The latest European Model continues to hold back too much energy in the southwest but still shows two healthy storm systems&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/EURO-20.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67956\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/EURO-20.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The latest Canadian Model shows one big storm system&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CANADIAN-20.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67958\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CANADIAN-20.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The latest GFS is also going toward one monster storm system&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GFS-20.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67961\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GFS-20.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I do think this is the likely scenario of getting one big system that unlocks some very cold air with the chance for additional light snow makers streaking in from the northwest.<\/p>\n<p>The latest GFS shows one nice arctic attack&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GFS-2-5.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67962\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GFS-2-5.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So does the Canadian&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CANADIAN-2-10.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67959\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CANADIAN-2-10.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even the European Model is seeing this, even with the phasing problems&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/EURO-2-10.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-67957\" src=\"https:\/\/kyweathercenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/EURO-2-10.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"984\" height=\"808\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the evening and take care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good evening, everyone.
