Good evening, gang. It’s the weekend and we are tracking quite a bit of rain into the Commonwealth before we change it up. That change leads to a really cold pattern with some snow chances in the days leading up to Christmas.<\/p>\n

Two big rain makers are on the weather menu from late Saturday through early Tuesday. These should bring a general 1″-2″ of rain to much of our region during this time and the models are in pretty good agreement on this…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The setup after this features a big cold front moving in on Wednesday and that may have low pressure developing along it with rain and snow. Behind it comes an arctic boundary by next Friday into the weekend and that can bring more snow chances.<\/p>\n

We are actually seeing the GFS coming around to showing what I think can happen out of this whole pattern. As a matter of fact, the GFS is showing some run-to-run continuity.<\/p>\n

The last two runs of the GFS show rain to snow late Wednesday and Thursday then a prolonged period of light snow and snow showers with the arctic system over the weekend…<\/p>\n
