Good evening, folks. It’s a cold and rather dreary evening across Kentucky as Old Man Winter surges back in. This brings some festive flakes later tonight and early Thursday, but the main focus is on a light snowfall coming Friday and Friday night.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with the festive flakes. You can clearly see these showing up on the Hi Res NAM late tonight into early Thursday…<\/p>\n

The system coming our way on Friday is showing up a little stronger and a bit farther south with the track of the low. If we look at the future radar from the Hi Res NAM, you can actually see the low spinning right on top of us…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is also something the Short Range Canadian has been showing and continues to show…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This will require a First Call for Snowfall later tonight. Until that time, here’s the area I’m focusing on for having the best chance for light accumulations Friday through early Saturday…<\/p>\n

The new Short Range Canadian snowfall map shows a nice increase…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The NAM is also up from earlier runs…<\/p>\n

This has a chance to reach Advisory criteria, especially if you factor in it’s the weekend kicking off the long Christmas travel period.<\/p>\n
